BMMB components and bridge deck installation tools. The electric hammer-drill (as shown) requires a generator.

• Hammer-drill, electric or pneumatic, capable of drilling 12 mm diameter holes in concrete.
• Concrete drills; 6 x 160 mm long and 12 x 120 mm long.
• Drill guide and scratch needle.
• Ratchet with 13 mm and 17 mm diameter sockets.
• Screwdriver - 6 mm wide.
• Punch - 6 mm.
• Hammer of 500 grams.

All BMMB parts are made of stainless steel.

• Protective cover 1250 mm long.
• Two locking bolts.
• Padlock with two keys.
• Adjusting tool with four bolts.
• Recording plate body (530 mm long) and holder with two fixing bolts (right).
• Scratch needle body (530 mm long) and holder with two fixing bolts (left).
• Recording plate with two screws (right).
• Expansion plugs with bolts (4 No.).

Recording plate and scratch needle holder bodies, mounted directly onto the bridge deck. The transverse blocks under each of the bodies are designed to keep them clear of uneven surfaces.

Recording plate and tungsten carbide scratch needle, both with holders, fitted to the bodies. The depth of the needle can be adjusted by the (brown) needle and the screw (in-out).

Recording plate after a one year measuring period. The top scratch shows a movement of 40 mm horizontal and only 1 mm vertical. The lower marks are from a sliding pad.
