Klaruw LineRemovers are equally effective on airport runways where 'maintenance occupations' must be minimised. Removal, disposal and rapid re-application, in one operation, is now a reality.

• HIGH SPEED - RAPID RE-APPLICATION AND PROGRAMME SAVINGS

Our ability to remove lines accurately and keep pace with the most up to date lining equipment has been proven with major road marking contractors and on airports. At nominal removal rates of some 20 linear metres per minute (50 metres per minute is achievable on poor quality line), one machine is capable of impressive output per shift. This allows removal and re-marking under mobile closures to be a practical proposition and can generate significant programme savings. Additional machines can be mobilised as required.

• HIGH QUALITY CONTROLLED REMOVAL

Hydraulic controls allow precise positioning of the cutting unit. This optimises removal results compatible with the line characteristics, removal depth required and the surface type. The unique direct suction feature, without applied water, ensures that removal is completed in a one-pass operation. A dry, ideally prepared surface remains, suitable for immediate re-marking or application of any type of overlay.

• HIGH OPERATIONAL VERSATILITY

Left and right hand drive versions of the Klaruw LineRemover are available to suit any situation. They are provided on every contract in pairs and can work in echelon by day or night, in any weather. Variable removal widths are available up to 350 millimetres.

• ECONOMIC AND COST-EFFECTIVE

Evaluation of the maintenance options available demonstrate that Klaruw LineRemovers are economic, cost-effective and competitive. Fast, quality preparation makes sound economic sense, particularly when re-lining has to be carried out in the same closure.

• MINIMAL TRAFFIC DISRUPTION

Removal rates of up to 50 metres per minute are achievable on markings in poor condition. Such high output ensures closure periods are minimised and a quick return to the status quo after the works are complete. Two Klaruw LineRemovers can, if necessary, be utilised on any one contract to double output.

Operatives are not required within the 'Works Area' and the operation is classed as 'Moving Works' within Chapter 8 and by the Health and Safety Executive. Positive control of traffic allows 'sideways clearance' to be at a minimum and, in most instances, this will avoid the need for road closures.

The cleanliness of the Klaruw Road Removal System makes it a positive contributor to a healthier environment. By removing arisings with a direct suction system and the addition of extra filtration the system is virtually dust-free.
